Just purchased first of these and after reversing shaft exit initial run up is looking very good although not flown yet as too windy.Only comment is I wish it could be supplied with the shaft exiting from the other end

Jut fitted and run on 460 gram wing by flyingfoam.co.uk looking good as motor ran fine with 6x4 prop and now going to go 7x 5 as the tensor chap did. have tried 3 other motors and this is best yet nice and solid. tried the 3000kv blue wonders and they are not as robust as this one so far a keeper not a smoker.

Have just received two of these to fit in a cloud models mosquito. Static tests very incourageing. Using a 2300mah 3cell lipo and folding 8x4.5 propeller, had 230 watts at 21amp. A 9x5 prop gave 291 watts at 28 amps but dont need to push the limits this far. Looks very promising.

Excellent motor!! Using it on my "Tensor" flying wing : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYTJKKBxGH4 with a 7x5 prop on 3S lipo. Really pleased with it Andy

I have this motor in use for a while on a 1250mm wingspan decathlon. It performs very well. No issues on that, I have it pulling almost 300W on 3s with a 9x5 GWS (flexing!) prop. It's not getting too hot so I keep that set up. I do have another problem with it though. I can't get the grubs screw that holds the shaft out. I tried several hex sizes (both metric as non-metric) but it just keeps slipping. The belly went forward on the shaft slowly on use so now on throttle it pulls the belly forward and the magnets are even slightly exposed. I'm losing performance this way so I would like to get it back on properly. I liked the golden or yellow motors more than these replacements. When I ordered the pictured still showed the yellow ones so I expected to get one of these. The cross motor mount that came with it is rubbish. The holes are misaligned so that I can't even use it. And yes I tried it on all 4 orientations. I'll replace it.

From Robert H Bought two of these motors a couple of months back and both have been trouble. Have used this spec motor from another supplier successfully before but after a couple of flights in a Seagull X Ray the first of these locked up solid and on examination I found that 3 magnets were loose and the shaft was so slack in the rear bearing that the thrust jammed the circlip against the bearing. The second motor is running at the moment but it makes a terrific noise. Have used many Giantcod motors in the past with no problems but these two are poor.

Re my review 12/2/2010, I would lik to wth idraw my last review on this motor. after finding a problem on my first fight I had the motor checked out with a hmas meter and found a brake in the feed wires, made a repair tested it out on the same aeroplane and have to say I was wrong about the product. all I can say is what a great motor for the money, well done Rob keep them comming.

Bought this motor looked good and appears to be well built , fitted it to a one and a half pound in weight model and the motor failed on the first flight. I shall be returning the motor back to Gient Cod
