Have 10 or so of these, including the HV version, and never had a glitch from one of them. Solid as a rock and gives great confidence especially as I use them with my OD models..makes the maiden flight less worrying!! Will be looking for more..

As usual first class service next day delivery and a great product. There is no wonder Futaba 9c radio sets still command a good price they make for a great conversion!! and using these recievers is a very cost effective way to get into 2.4g

My very old slope model had a Dual Conversion 35MHz rx fitted. Due to a transmitter aerial problem, which I found on arrival at the slope, this meant that I could not fly it on 35MHz. So I simply fitted a V8FR receiver from my other model into the old slope model, programmed the 2.4GHz tx to give the same servo outputs as the 35Mhz tx (there on the slope, in a good stiff breeze) and then simply flew the model on 2.4GHz. Total down-time about 30minutes, including range testing. Absolutely faultless product, as per the other FrSky ACCST receivers and the Hack module. Cheap as chips and better than the OE. Brilliant.

I purchased a FrSKY reciever V8FR and a Hack Modul V8HT and built the Hack Modul into a Graupner 314 transmitter and it functions perfectly. I purchased a second set and built it into a Graupner X3810 transmitter and it also funktions perfectly. I'm looking forward to my new order of a speed controller and Brushler motor. in German Ich habe ein FrSKY V8FR Empfänger und ein V8HT Hack Modul in ein Graupner 314 Sender eingebaut und es funktionert perfect. Darauf, habe ich ein zweiten V8FR Empfänger und ein V8HT Hack Modul bestellt und in ein Graupner X3810 Sender eingebaut. Auch dieses funktioniert wunderbar. Meine 3. Bestellung ist ein Speed Controller (Fahrtregler) und ein Brushler Motor. Ich freue mich auf die Sendung. Fryderik

As I was beginning to suspect that my 35Mhz system was causing trouble, I decided to switch to a 2.4Ghz system. As I had a Futaba 9C radio I searched for a module that would convert the radio to 2.4Ghz. I ordered the FRsky DVT module and a FRsky V8FR receiver. When I first saw the DVT module there was a video clip from rcmodelsreview.com demonstrating the module and receiver. This clip said that the module needed slight alteration to fit the Furaba 9C. The module that I received fitted without any trouble. I had a bit of a problem with the binding process, due mostly to translation problems but I found another set of instructions on the FRsky website. Then everything worked fine and I fitted the receiver to a model. So far the weather has not allowed me to test the new system for real. Another video clip did show the system in action. Since my first order I have ordered 3 more V8FR recevers. I soon found that one had to repeat the whole binding procedure for each of the new receivers. I am very pleased with my new radio parts and I look forward to having a flight. I reckon that I now have a 2.4 Ghz system for about 1/3rd of the cost of a completely new radio system. On my first order I got my fingers in a twist and bungled my order. GiantCod sorted it our for me very quickly refunding the cost of the bits I ordered by mistake.The rcmodels review website is well worth watching.

Bought three of these. Really well made in nice small hard case. Easy to see status light and bind button easy to access. Binds very fast and combined with the FRsky hack has enabled me to upgrade some 40Mhz equipment without problem. I sail scale model boats and would recommend to anyone seeking to use for a similar purpose.

Bought this along with the 2.4Ghz hack module to fit in a FF6 50th edition. Binds much quicker than my Spektrum stuff and re-binds almost instantly if you switch the TX off and back on again. Have got this in my Trex 700 Nitro and have also bought the 2.4GHz DJT Two Way Communication System Module to go in my JR PCM9XII. Have flown it all day today (1 gallon of fuel through the heli) and has performed faultlessly. Was a bit nervous at first as it's alot of kit to have a cheap system in, but I'll be buying lots of these I think soon to replace all my Spekky stuff, as long as it keeps performing as it did today. It goes without saying that the delivery from GC was up to it's usual standard, i.e. ordered one day and delivered the next...cheers Rob and the gang keep it up!!

I have been using a Frsky module in my FF8 and 8and 7 channel t/x's for about a year or so. In my experience the reliability of this set up and Frsky products in general are second to none. OK the 2.4 aerial sticking out of the back of the module is inconvenient, but with a 8 channel tx for under fifteen quid who cares! I certainly won't be buying a Spektrum. Well done GC, and thanks for the fantastic service you deliver.

Bought one of these on saturday afternoon, it arrived on Tuesday morning. Binding was a piece of cake, less than 30 seconds. A bit smaller than my MHZ receiver which is a bonus. I bought it along with the 2.4GHZ FRSKY diy module. Fairly easy to fit and all seems to be working on the bench. Never flown a heli before, so I'll get it tried out by someone who knows what it should do!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone putting off taking the GHZ plunge. The wire colours on the link are wrong going into the HF board, but are right going into main board, Neg is red, pos is brown.

After some initial hesitation, I did not believe that anything at that price could work, I now have five such receivers in use in various aircraft. NEVER had a failure or the slightest hickup. Great receiver at an unbelieveable price.

usual super fast delivery. Less than 24 hours door to door.I now have 6 of these little beauties in models ranging fron scale 600 helis to Wot 4s etc. Never a glitch in over 3 years flying. Instant once only binding and quick failsafe programming.If I had a critism it is that the 8 ports are a little close together and using all 8 results in the last plugs fitted being a little tight.

this rx is the best reciever that i have used so far I run them from a frsky module on the back of my FF9tx and they work perfectly up to now I have only used spectrum recievers and just lately I have had a few radio breakdowns and a coleage told me about frsky and the rest is history. Great little Rx. If you want 8 channels, plug all 8 servos in and with the last slot use a Y lead to plug in the battery as well. Works ok.

Hi Rob I ordered one of these Rx's with a Tx module for my Futaba Tx. Had a problem initially and on return it was found that the Tx module was faulty.Replacements were made without fuss and with the usual speedy service. Having succesfully checked these they do everything I expected with seemingly very good range. I was so impressed that I ordered 2 more Rx's which arrived within 48 hours despite it being in the Xmas post rush! Faultless service once again.

Purchased this receiver along with the relvant TX module to convert my Futaba FF8 TX over from 35Mghz to 2.4Ghz. Simply unpack the RX, follow the instructions to bind it to the TX module and away it goes. As this is my first venture into 2.4Ghz, it couldn't have been simpler. Also, the service from Giant COD is superb: Ordered the TX module and RX on Friday around Midday and received them Saturday morning.

Hello My only observation is that it's not actuly 8 channel as it only has 8 ports. I bought the Frsky V8R7SP which Is 7 channel and also has 8 ports! Seems fine. Just a little confused how you could work 8 servos off it. I'm going to knock off a star from the review due to this, to my mind poor description.

This is a really excellent receiver. I now have 8 of these, used mostly on foam edf jets, and all have been faultless in operation. They all have a far better range than I can possibly exploit with my small models. I am happy to recommend these receivers.

I have two of these now. Both work very well, one is in a scale glider, the other in a foamy glider (PMP Hoodlum). The one in the Hoodlum I've had for about eighteen months, and I have never had to re-bind it to the transmitter. Excellent!

All my planes are on this system now, 6 out of 6 receivers work perfectly, no glitches yet. unbeleivable value for money. The bit rate is lower than the more expensive brands, but I doubt you could tell short of competition level. Binding is easier than any other 2.4 system I have yet used. A++ on this one

I have now standardised on Frsky for all my 2.4 ghz requirements. To date I have obtained 2, 8 channel, 2, 7 channel & 3, 4 channel receivers, together with a JR Module. Delivery from Giant Cod has been exceptionally quick. Goods being received within 24 hours of despatch. The Frsky System has proved to be total reliable, quick to bind, with great range and very user friendly. No complaints from this end. Thoroughly recommended.

Yet another of these arrived last Saturday having been ordered 24 hours before . You can't beat that for delivery! I now have two of these and the one way hack module in my JR TX. The first RX went into my Easy star as a testbed. No problems at all and more range than I ever need. This second one goes in my Twinstar and no doubt will be just as good. Still can't convert my fellow modellers to this system. Well its their loss and I mean loss. I can't spend £40 for each new RX in each new model. Then again why should I need to with Frsky around. I am a bit concerned about duplicate GUIDs with the one way system but as I seem to be the only one using it around here............... Keep up the good work Rob. Pete

I now own 7 of these and have found them to be amazing value. They bind instantly and it's an absolute doddle to set up the fail-safe. I was a firm 35Mhz advocate but the amazing value of the entire Frsky range has converted me. I still use 35 but for all my heli's and EDf's I now use these.

Excellent delivery day after order. I had difficulty binding but this was my fault as I am too used to Futaba receivers and assumed that signal wire would be at top.I even plugged the battery connection in upside down.The RX stood for all this abuse and when I eventually looked at the legend on the side of the case I realised what a fool I had been and with the correct plug orientation binding was quick and easy. Used with a V8FT module in a 10CP Tx and all was well. You may ask why I needed this system when I had Futaba TX's and RX's on 2.4 already?Well have you seen the price of extra Futaba Rx's(even FRsky/Orange compatible versions)!!!! This is the way to go and I have seen the V8FR-HV in flying use to know that there should be no problems in use. RayE

Where were Giant Cod when I paid almost 2 months wages for a four channel 27Mg set in 1968?? So now we're in 2011 and I can get an 8 channel 2.4Ghz set for a quarter of a weeks wages. Good reliable stuff, as well. We hope the Cod keeps swimming for a goodly while yet. Ioan.

I ordered several of those receivers. They all work great in my bigger planes. Binding is quiet easy. We are four persons using this system the same time on our place of flight and no problems like Assan or other 2.4G systems. The price is great! But why does the 7channel receiver cost more than the 8 channel in hardcase? So far I recommend these receivers. Ordered 4 so far, will order more soon.

Have just received my eighth one of these. The previous 7 have performed flawlessly in both IC & fast ePower models. Range is no problem. A small dab of silicone is helpful but probably not necessary where the aerials exit the case on the early versions- the more recent ones already have a sleeve at that point.

I now have two of these, and both work extremely well. I do mostly slope soaring and tend to fly the model at quite a distance, and the range of these receivers is superb. Good price, too!

Hi Rob Although I have only purchased this single item from you, I now have 7 of these RX.s was put onto this Rx from a member of our club BMMFC.com ( Ray ) after watching is performance with a delta electric type, when it gets to the stage where it can't be seen and without glitches what more can I say????.

Have bought 4 of these in total - so far 2 used in small electric glider and 10ft glider. Both very good with totally solid control at distance. About six of us in our club have these receivers all with good results.

ordered this reciever last thursday rob posted it that same afternoon you could have knocked me down with a wet kipper when it dropped through the letter box friday morning top job agian rob now to the reciever (note to self the servo plugs go the other way round) soon as i found that out works well on the range i cant say to much as i have only just had the time and the weather to get to the club to get my heli trimmed out after a remotor but a range check on the ground was ok rock steady and absolutley glitch free would recomend to any1

I now have 4 of these excellent receivers. They work superbly. The only criticism is that the FrSky system does not have 'Model Match' system as in the Spektrum system. If FrSky could incorporate this safety feature it would be even better.

Have at least 20 + of these receivers now, all working great, even a few survied a few crashes, not one has gone bad, so all in great value, great product.. Best thing i ever did was to change to Frsky.

I ordered 3 of this receivers last Thursday and they arrived by me ( Germany ) on Tuesday. THAT'S GREAT !!! But, what I miss is the adhesive label that this receiver is a HV version. I hope it is anyway.

HI i have bought 5 of these receivers now absolutely brilliant no problems at all fast set up no fuss and easy to set up the fail safe as well i have put the tx module in the back of my old futaba ff8 i have had no glitching at all which is a big improvement over my old 35mhz radio which glitched often on my electric planes no matter what i tryed i will finish changing over my 35 mhz radio with confidence (need another 7 receivers) Geof ward

Hi..just received my 7th 8ch Frsky RX..ordered and delivered within 3 days..GREAT SERVICE. If anyone is looking to upgrade their old equipment, this is the way to go...System is quick to bind TX -Rx, the response time is very quick..switch the tx off and on, the rx looks as if it has never lost the signal..This equipment is reliable and in my opinion...very very safe. I know of flyers are using this gear with models costing £1000'sss and the feedback is at 110% satisfaction. I have converted my Hitec Optic6 to 2.4 using the 2.4 module and feeding the ariel wire through the back of the TX case via a hole drilled in the Frsky module, .no wires..permanent fix looks like a factory fix. ALSO, i have converted a Futaba Skysport6 and an old Sanwa Conquest 6 to 2.4 using the Frsky hack...I am currnetly looking at upgrading a Digifleet Omega 7ch Tx to 2.4 using the same.. I also fly all my slope soarers on a Futaba CAP10 tx with Frsky 8 ch RX's and Module.. VERY VERY HAPPY...wake up you main manufacturers !!! you are getting left behind..on price and product.

Just bought another 2 of these receivers making it about 12 that I've bought over the last 12 months. They are excellent, had no problems at all, and at the Giant-Cod prices they are very affordable. Delivery is usually next day - altogether an excellent service.

Just installed the Frsky hack module in a Futaba ff6 ,tried it with 2 v8fr hv receivers. Perfect. Not flown yet but have every confidence in the quality. Much better value than the big name stuff.Buy some.

I now have my entire fleet of 6 helicopters and 4 planks fitted out with these receivers ranging from an HK 450 to a vario jet ranger and can safeley say I have never had a problem with either range or interference. All have been bound, fitted and forgotten, never a moments concern. Buy with confidence!!!, at these prices you cant go wrong.

Have bought a truck load of parts from Rob,over the years ,but not happy with this one.It must have been sent back as clearly a used Item.All scratched around the binding switch.Whoever had it before must of tryed to bind it with the plugs in the wrong way round and couldnt get it to work lol.Sorry Rob.....

First tester into the world of 2.4 on the recommendation of some serious Gliders boys recently at the Long Mynd. Looking at the quality (and cost) of their 1/4 scale plus models, I though its was worth a go. Their suggestion - "why spend Spectrum Prices ????" Great set up, fast wake up time and fantastic range when using the range check function. Looks like I will be getting some more.....

What a great little recieverWhat a great little receiver I had one beforehand but with the ever increasing size of my RC heli collection I needed more. They are very light, easy to set up, fast to reboot, and works perfectly with my old JR PCM10. These are the cheapest around and will recommend to all my flying friends. PS. Latest one turned up with no reference to being -HV, Like anthony's review of 12th May.. I just wish for some form of sticker or statement from GC to re-assure us this new batch are in fact HV versions.. But as I have said before great product......

FRsky is definitly the best low budged 2.4 System in the market!!! I use WEATRONIC in my great scale planes and frsky in all the other flying stuff. Using frsky for over 1 year in over 15 electric, nitro and gas planes and had never any problems!!!!

Have just installed my First FRSKY tx module in a Hitec optic 6 module fitted perfect. also got a 8 channel rec and after finding out the battery position set them up as to instructions it bound so quickly didn't realise it had! after watching others at my club with there spectrum's?have got to range test it yet but if the speed it bound is any thing to by should be no probs . Will let you know after tomorrow weather permitting?.

Great service, ordered Friday received Monday. The FrSky set is being used in my Futaba 9C the module went in without any problems even though it had been mentioned that they were a tight fit, and so far so good, no problems at all with the opperation, every bit as good as the Futaba 2.4 set up as far as I can see. The receivers seem to be more robust than the Futaba R617FS ones and very slim, although maybe slightly bigger overal, with the advantage of an extra channel to play with. Very fast boot up time and very easy to set up. Unbelievable value for money!

Bought to accompany a Frsky Hack 2.4Ghz conversion of an old Futaba Challenger Tx. Much smaller than the old 35Mhz rx it replaces and operationally it works a treat - even with 1970's Futaba servos. The plastic casing is a bit cheap and so fitting the servo plugs need to be done with care, first time around, but absolutely no compaints for the money. The Frsky channel hopping sytem and the twin aerials are a comfort.

Very easy and quick to set up, 1st flight today and I can get the plane to almost out of sight with no loss of link. Brilliant piece of kit and so much cheaper than Spektrum. Now going to change all the fleet over from 35meg
