Awesome little servos, cannot fault them for £3.15 each, lots of torque, really fast and comes with long servo horns, have good resolution so i've used them in 3D and small pattern models. On one servo I managed to snap the head off the screw that holds the horn on, dabbed a drop of CA to hold the horn on and have used it for non critical and test stuff since. All in all great little things.

Gave 4 of these a lot of hard use in a HK450 last year & very impressed all round. Reliable, smooth, quiet with good resolution, centreing, torque. Only stripped the gears on one after at least 3 crashes.

Just received 2 of these servos this morning, very quick delivery.
A seemingly solid yet suprisingly lightweight servo, ideal for my model's throttle control where space and weight is at a premium.
Thanks GC for an excellent service

What a smashing little servo! I thought that at this price they would come rattling around in a zip-lok bag but they are individually boxed and well protected against the worst excesses of international travel. It's my first foray into foamy/indoor/electric and this stuff is so cute. CUTE!! well, it is!
Well done Giant Cod.

These micro servos are incredible value for money. Only problem is that the supplied control arm retaining screws are way oversize, being a full three mm's too long but easily cropped with sharp side cutters and a gentle touch on the grind stone to restore a point. Being so cheap I expect some problem I suppose, but I haven't found it.

just received three more of these little beauties and all work perfectly .
Very quite and accurate in operation, and the earlier purchased ones in my various aircraft are still working ok , i thoroughly recommend these servos and at just over three pounds each you cannot go wrong.
Thanks for the prompt service Giant Cod and may the quality of these servos remain as good as they
are at this moment in time.

A definite step up in quality over other cheap servo's I have tried. These are noticeably smoother and give a finer level of control, inspiring much more confidence. I think for the small increase in price over the most basic servo's these are a real bargain. Recommended.

Further to my last review on 19th Jan this year,
Today the second ES08A servo installed into my Wlkera 36#B, for Rudder control has failed.; showing the same problem as last time. The two installed for Aileron and Elevator have shown no problems at all. Conclusion these little servos are just not robust enough for use as rudder control in 400 class helicopters. Even though tow have failed while used for the above function, I would still use them for other functions, I still think these are great little servos.

Three of these were installed into a Wlkera 36#B Elevator, Aileron, & Rudder, during July 2010. All three functioned just fine until yesterday, when the rudder servo just stopped responding, replaced with a spare ES08A to test rudder/gyro, and functionality restored.
On closer inspection of the defunct servo, found an unusually high resistance from the gear-train, when rotating the out-put arm, but more-so in the direction to maintain resistance against main rotor rotation. The servo has not been exposed to any kind of trauma. I may-have been unlucky with this particular servo, however, it may by that the ES08A is just not be robust enough for tail rotor rudder function in 400 class helicopters. I will see how he replacement ES08A does.
Even tough one has failed, I still think these are great little servos.

Hmm I think I must have received a Friday afternoon bunch as the other reviews are all so good, ordered 4, one has a habit of twitching although this is very slight and shouldn’t cause any problems and another had a severed servo wire, however at this price you can’t really complain.

These are strong servos for their size, good accuracy around centre, and only the slightest of overshoot. I grabbed f to test for a robotics project and can say that I like them, but there is a problem with the high rotation. Each of the servos had an odd issue at about +70. On arriving, the horn starts rotating slowly towards approx 90, then if you duck the output to under +70, the horn slowly creeps back to 69 degrees. This means that it's not accurate over the full range, unless you don't mind missing out the last 20-30 degrees.
Another issue i had was that one out of four would drain a considerably higher current when in motion (funnily enough, not when being stalled for strength testing) and took all the power from my arduino test platform.

I had recently fitted one of these as rudder servo, paired it with a Telebee Gr302-AD on the HK450 that I've recently built. Impressed with how that servo work, I decided get another three and fitter them into one of my Walkera 36#Bs, to replace the Tower Pro G90s. The metal gears of which have a small amount of free-play and that generated slop, resulting in imprecise elevator control. The E-Max paired with the Walkera WK-G010 seems to work OK. Elevator and Aileron Apertures. The slop has gone from the elevator linkage and hovering more precise. The body of the E-MAX is 1mm longer than the Tower Pro G90, or the HXT900, so had to enlarge the apertures.

I bought 4 of these for a HK450MT kit. Based on customer satisfaction it was either these or the TowerPro SG90. And since the SG90 went out of stock while I was sitting contemplating how many I wanted, it had to be these. First impression is very favorable; they seem to be precise, fast and strong enough. The big question is longevity.

Best analogue servo from the cod in this class.comes with slotted 3d arm like hitec55 and three others,a decent length double and single and a disc.Actually weighs 9gm on my digi scale with 25cm lead and no arm fitted.Very little slop/backlash and the lead length allows a short pushrod length on my 1metre span foamies which also allows getting the servo out on the wing to minimise aileron flex/twisting.I would not equate it to a hitec hb65 in planes like my Fliton Andrew Jesky Extra's where i use hb65 on ailerons and mg65's on rud/ele but it might be ok in other applications for hb65's.Comes in a cute clear lidded plastic box with fitting screws.I bought a dozen and they are now my servo of choice in this size.I like the lead outlet position as it allows easy fitting/removal.When gluing in depron i like the idea that the middle section can be glued allowing four screw removal access to the gears etc. There are spare gearsets, cases, leads and arms available, i hope Rob can supply the gears and arms in the future for this great value addition to the range.M.
