Well where to begin!!!!!!. Unwrapped box and was struck by musty smell, this unit must have been in poor storage for sometime or took a splash whilst on the high seas. Internal of card board box was mouldy and on opening the styrene cover was greeted by a poorly looking little Chinese TX with water on the front of the case. Wasn’t very hopeful at this point and could have swore i heard it sneeze :0). I love a challenge and felt decidedly sorry for said TX. Didnt even consider putting batteries near this TX in case of electric shock :0). Any way onwards and upwards, I proceeded to remove the back case and as suspected was greeted with a horror scene, all top pots were corroded to the outer case and 3 of the switches were the worse for wear. Set TX beside radiator to dry out. Proceeded to replace the 3 switches and pots (5K robbed from old TX sticks). After a while applied Cardiac shock in the form of 12v. TA DA BEEP BEEP BEEP, switch error (new i should have read the manual backwards to make sense of it). Reset switches and turned on again. BEEP, groovy little screen (but wait for it) that after about 5min started to steam up, must still have been a bit of moisture in there as the screen proceeded to go completley GA GA. A little more radiator time and the issue didnt return. Bind to the reciever was quick and easy and servo operation was smooth as silk. I should really have returned this unit (silly COD that I am, excuse the pun) but I didnt and think that I made the right decision, you do pay for what you get. However on a more positive note everything has worked ok since and plan to road test in a JP bullet initially. Lots of firmware upgrades available and dosent look at all bad from outside. Never had bad service from the folks at GC and these TXs arent easy to get hold of all the time so that was my other reason for giving it a fighting chance. Im a glider guider so it will do all the mixes i could ever want. Dont let this review put you off as I think this is not bad kit for the price (and lets face it they are good under water :0)) but dont expect perfection. Anyway thats all for now AAAAAAAAAATIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSUUUUUUU, must have caught TX Flu :0)

Lets be honest...
This radio is cheap. and you do pay for what you get.
what you get is some half decent hardware - with a rubbish software platform that lets the hardware down!
However...
There is a fix to this.
Check out www.9xforums.com
A range of alternative firmwares have been developed that make this radio - possibly one of the MUST HAVE radios for all rc fanatics.
Once you try the alternative firmwares; you will ditch your other radios!

Very fast shipping.
Radio is very nice, and not easy to buy as it is generally out of stock in all shops.

This transmitter is brill cant believe the price. half the price of a 2nd hand DX6 or DX7. And the RX fits nicely into the rear of the HK450 CCPM i got from here. The only thing i would say is a down point the manual doesnt help much id advise you to go online and watch some youtube clips from people setting the TX up. This TX is multi mode when your setting it up you will have 4 modes to select from just remember it will ask if you would like to reverse throttle and by pressing menu you accept. :) other then that i would tell a friend to buy this over any over priced transmitter :)

Sold one model and sent a different one. No explanation untill I asked and then I wa told 'this is the one we sell'. At least the item name has been changed now to the one actually being sold.
BATTERIES DO NOT FIT IN THE HOLDER PROVIDED AND LET YOU CLOSE THE DOOR. YOU MUST CUT THE CABLE AND SOLDER ON A NORMAL BATTERY PACK WITHOUT THE PLASTIC HOLDER FOR THEM TO FIT.
THERE IS ALSO A CABLE CONNECTING THE MODULE SO YOU CANNOT REMOVE IT, DIFFERENT MOD FOR THIS ONE ALSO.
check these links for more info.

I was told by GiantCod that I was mistaken until I sent them the links above at which point they stopped answering my questions and just told me to send the unit back after I had already modded it to take normal battery packs just so I could actually use it.
They say i'm the first out of thousands of people to have this issue, totally incorrect.
Some of the most disrespectful and poor service I have ever had the displeasure to receive. GIANTCOD DO NOT GIVE A HOOT ABOUT SERVICE JUST SELL STUFF CHEAP AND LIE TO CUSTOMERS. SPEND A COUPLE QUID MORE AND GET SERVICE RATHER THAN DEAL WITH THESE DISHONEST PEOPLE.

This is the second Frsky transmitter I've bought from GC. They simply work faultlessly. I'm selling my Futaba 6EX 2.4 radio, because the Frsky one works just as reliably, looks better quality, and has so much functionality. I don't see any point in looking elsewhere, and I've been flying for 30+ years.

Super fast delivery from giantcod, but from what i have seen on many other revies that seems to be the norm with this company.
Anyway, at first glance the transmitter looks to be pretty good and from the various reviews on here and elsewhere it seems to hold up well however i will be returning mine as im not sure if its pot luck since it doesnt say anything in the product description but mine came as mode 1 (throttle on the right) and i been flying mode 2 forever and doesnt seem to be any simple solution to change it over. Thats not the transmitters fault tho, it should have been stated in the product description as, personally i wouldnt have ordered if i had known it was mode 1.

This is a great radio at a great price!!
I only was wondering why Giantcod doesn't sell a compatible mini-receiver 5 or 6 channels: it would be perfect for small models. The 8ch FlySky is quite big and heavy...

I've been looking at this particular piece of kit for a long time. read the reviews, and considered it carefully. Then when GC started offering it at a cheaper price than Asia, I went for it. It certainly hasn't dissappointed so far. Fantastic value, feels solid, and seems to work well although only on the bench so far. I intended to replace the module with the Frsky version, but not sure that is really necessary reading all the other reviews. I've a sneaking suspicion that the Flysky 6 channel unit is being sold rebadged as the Jamara FCX 6 at £69 for the combo (RCM&E May 2011), with additional receivers at £27.99, and the review said it was good value. GC is selling the same unit for £24.56, with receivers for £7.66!! See for yourself. So if Jamara are happy to sell the Flysky system then we should all feel confident. I also agree with another review, that the GC caption is misleading. This unit does not need a 'hack' module, that applies to the Turnigy version with built in 2.4ghz aerial and not this one. There is no electrical skills required just buy it and use it. One slight issue with the battery holder. The batteries are a tight fit, which in turn stretches the holder and difficulty in getting the holder back into the transmitter. I'll be fitting a a welded battery, so no issue for me. Finally I was a little apprehensive about setting the unit up. I'm the sort of bloke who takes 30 mins to send a text! This unit was a doddle. Never had to read the manual (which does come with the unit, take note GC). Just do some basic research on the web re setup, and you'll have no problem. Well done GC! Now for some of those £8 receivers.......

I have this TX and have just finished upgrading it with light up blue screen and lipo battery that lasts 40 hours plus with screen lit up. This kit is rock solid and can be jazzed up to make it look expensive for just a few pounds. And with RX at these prices you will soon have one in each of your models and making full use of the 8 model memory. This RX punches well above its weight !

As a new customer this was my first purchase and I am pleased to say that I am very happy with the
Flysky fsth9b what a great tx at a great price! Delivery was very quick as well.
I do think that the please note bit to Bruce xjets's review can be a bit confusing as this is the Flysky version and not the Turnigy version and you don’t have to do any modifications to it at all just plug in the module supplied, and no wires to cut if wish to buy a different module.
I think my next purchase is going to be some more 8 channel rx's....Oh and it also works with the 6 channel receivers as well even better value.
Thanks Giantcod.

i had the older model of this EURGLE 2.4GHZ RADIO so i new it had to be good well i must say how do you do it selling a top notch radio 9ch with a free receiver for a daft £55 i must say to throws of you that have a SPECTRUM dx5 dx6i and a SPECTRUM dx7,, you should sell your Transmitters and buy one FlySky FSTh9B 2.4G 9 Channel Transmitter with module
I’m sorry to say to you your SPECTRUM dx6i and dx7 don’t have a patch on this Transmitter it has more menus more setting and it is a easy to use the menus and you don’t need brans or a degree to use it like the SPECTRUM dx6i i know you may have paid a lot of dosh for your SPECTRUM Transmitter and i know you would not believe it will not let you down in any way but i should know as i have had the SPECTRUM dx Transmitters and the let-downs with them so i say to you all reading this don’t miss out don’t waste your money on a dx6i or a full SPECTRUM Transmitter
and you all know the prices of one Transmitter receiver wall just buy this one if not to try to prove me wrung and i know you will be so happy you took my advice believe me if you are flying by a 2.4 security camera this radio will not let your plane get knocked out of the air with this radio just

To clear up any confusion, it comes with the TM-002 TX and a V2 RX
Do your research on this radio and you won't be disappointed.
At this price point I am not surprised GC sold out within a couple of days
