Loong Max Tipple 3000mAh 20C 2s lipos - with connectors plea

(The title should have said "Loong Max Tipple 3000mAh 20C 2s lipos - with connectors please", but the forum cut it short)

The 3000mAh size 2s lipos used to come with the 3.5mm bullet connectors - I bought three, and swapped the connector in my glider to match. While those batteries were being sold without any connectors, recently, I didn't buy any. If the next batch come without connectors, I probably won't buy any of those either.

I found the biggest problem was if I got any solder at all on the outside of the bullets, they wouldn't fit in the red plastic connector shells. Also, the wires on the larger capacity batteries are very thick so it's hard enough enough for the average hobbyist to fit any type of connector to them.

I'm sure people will disagree about what sort of connectors they should have on them, but we're aware that you no longer use Deans, presumably for copyright reasons. Either 4mm or 3.5mm bullets would have been okay but I really don't feel like swapping connectors on the ones I have already, so personally, I hope you start fitting the 3.5mm ones again.

Anyone who doesn't want the connectors they come with can easily clip them off (one wire at a time, people - don't try cutting straight through both with a pair of clippers unless you like fireworks) but fitting them is much more difficult.

Put simply, if you sell them with ANY type of connector on, you'll please somebody and you'll sell more. If you sell them without any connectors, you'll sell a lot less.

Can you not make up an 'adapter' cable to accomplish your required end result?
I too am not a fan of soldering - so I just make up adapters as required. The power loss is not an issue as the adapters are very short, and I am now able to use pretty much any battery with any ESC I choose and no more soldering on 'live' batteries. Took the tip off my iron once (and ONLY the once ... never again!) soldering terminals a 6S 4000mAh hahahahaha!!!!
Just a thought that might help out.

I'd happily make up an adapter, RCHH. The point is, these have been sold with NO connectors at all, so that's not possible.

Soldering connectors on any lipo is not for the faint hearted (or the lazy - I may be both) but soldering to 10 AWG wires is a seriously difficult thing to do. I've done it once, and I'd far rather pay to have someone else do it for me.

I believe I mentioned that any connector at all would be better than none.

Noted Andy - The biggest problem we have with lipos is people shorting them when fitting them, so it makes no sense to sell them without connectors at all. I've asked someone to check them. These are a new lot so will probably have connectors fitted.

To be honnest I'd rather the LIPOs were sold without connectors, just heat shrink over the ends. That way you can put your preferred connector on. As long as you use common sense when soldering, i.e. dont take the heat shrink off both at once and once you've soldered one connection put heat shrink over it to insulate it, you shouldn't have this problem.

I can however see the arguement for having a connector already soldered on as some people don't like soldering (or can't) and will use adaptors.

The only problem I see with my above statement is that the words "common sense" are in it....never ceases to amaze me how many people lack it

Thank, Rob. Graham has assured me this batch has 3.5mm bullets.
