Just the job for checking cell voltages before flying

Bought two of these. Fitted one to a trex500 and use the other for general battery checking. Have found them to be very accurate when measuring the voltage of the cells. Great for in=flight monitoring, the led is bright and the buzzer loud enough. Great for the price.

The one I bought refused to power up initially, then finally it did but the on-screen text (which is pretty small) kept breaking up so it was illegible, and neither of the buttons worked. Nor did the led. Also the pins on the lead are very fragile, one was bent and broke off when I tried to straighten it. It's gone back to GC, hopefully for a refund. Not impressed - the similiar but less functional cyclic led tester for £3 or £4 is a much better bet and far more robust.

Superb bit of kit for the price! Only negative is the instructions refer to the connector plug having a black wire at one end and a red at the other, but the positive for a 6s is actually blue. No problem otherwise and it works with all my Li-po's. I have checked the actual cell voltages with my digital multimeter and they seem to agree with the GT down to the last decimal point. So its quite accurate and it's also good to have the total pack voltage displayed along with each cell (s) Not tried the warning buzzer which is provided as a plug-in and it's supposed to buzz if one cell is below a user pre-set voltage as an additional check. If you don't have one yet it's well worth the money!
