Use two of these in my 36inch MTB with 35mm brass props on 8.4v. They give a very good speed and duration

Using on my Stryker on 3 cells with 7x6 prop. Unlimited vertical and good speed.Obtained figures close to Dr Kiwi's testing http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1019879&page=3&pp=50 but I had bought for use with 4 cell pack. DON'T! I got some really weird figs with amps going thru' the roof which I reported on the thread. Went back to 2217/6 155 kv and this took the extra volts without issues Andy (headlessagain)

This motor can certainly push out the power, but I have not been able to take it to its stated maximum of 480W yet as the mount supplied with the motor broke and caused some damage to the motor. The fixing end plate of the motor appears to be only sweated onto the core so I would suggest that the best way to use this motor is to undo the grub screw at the front end and use the spare shaft to tap the original shaft through, replacing it in reverse position so that the motor runs the reverse way round pushing against the 'firewall' and a custom made mount. While doing this on my example I noticed that the magnets are only keyed in at one end and that one had come loose at some time during the process. I was using an 11x6 folding prop and 3s Lipos and the breakage happened at 220W. Motor good but bin the mount.
