Finally got a mains charger after using a dc charger for a long while. Very impressed with this and it does exactly what it says on the tin. I did find though, that it had the most complicated set of instructions I had ever seen. Once I used it a few times though it is relatively straight forward.
Great charger and balancer 5-stars!!

This charger is excellent value, robust construction, easy to use and compares very well with other chargers I have. Balance charged 6 lipos and charged 4 NiMh batteries since getting it only today, great results. The built in 240v power supply is really handy at home and works a treat. Also supplied with a very good set of leads.
Bonus is:- The unit is delivered less than 24 hours from ordering at a price competitive with Hong Kong ones.

Excellent delivery service from GC as usual. Charger feels chunky and well put together. The instructions show it can do more than I need at the moment but I particualrly like the store function for LiPos which will help to lengthen their service life.

Received the Item ( Charger ) on Sunday and have used it to charge Lipo batteries and NiMH on the AC and DC inputs, have found this to be very good, also good value for the price.

I recieved mine three days ago and have been testing all functions and comparing to my LRP charger. The results are great! It does exactly what it says on the tin! I have been charging NIMH and LIPO with great success. Would recommend at this price.

A good quality charger that offers many of the same functions as high-end chargers but for a fraction of the cost. I like the fact that it has mains-powered capability that negates the need for buying a separate power supply, one less thing to lug around. Good selection of connecting leads as well.

I bought one few months ago and although instructions are not very clear I succeeded in obtaining good performances and must say that I am fully satisfied. I just want to order a second unit for one of my friends and I left enquiry waiting for availability.

Good charger if you want to charge at home, i bought one from GC and found that 12v did,nt work, changed lead, still did,nt work!, tried on various car batteries, still no good!, just would,nt power up on 12v.

I'd already had one of these chargers for some time so I knew they did a very good job. The one limitation was they can only charge one battery at a time and I always seem to need to charge two at once. So when I saw the price GC were offering them at I jumped in and bought another. GC always seem to price very keenly.

This is a very good charger.My ac unit however did pack in. so I just removed it,since I have a power supply this was not a problem. I found out by accident that at completion of charge, by pressing the inc button, that all cell voltages are displayed which I like.
Very easy to use once you get used to it.

Good charger for the price with an in built power supply for charging at home.
I brought this to charge 4x 6s turnigy 5000mah batteries.
Needless to say I'm pushing this little charger with those batteries as at 6s it will only hit 2.3amp charge. Meaning each brick is charged at 0.4c not so much of a problem as I'm never in a rush to charge. An im using the batteries for an bike rather than rc application.
Hopefully it will extend the lipo cycle life. Good starter charger.
Menus are clear and there's an array of connections to get you started. I swapped all my lipo across to deans and they have work faultless.
As I say this would be great if it kicked out more amps at the higher end cell count but that's more down to me choosing a charger with a low output.
Will up date in a month to see how it gets on at full load everyday charging.
It does get hot at 6s full amps. Batteries stay at room temp.
all in all a good versatile charger. Good value and easy to use if your new to rc like me.

Best value charger in the UK. You can easily spend £10 - £15 more for the same charger and up to £30 more for it in other disguises. Shows what a good job Rob does looking after our pockets. Super fast delivery as always.

Ordered mid afternoon. Arrived 0930 next day. One can`t get better than that!!! Used it immediately without having to read the instructions as the stting up was super instinctive. Have since read them thoas I remembered my old RAF Chiefies advice of ``RTBI, lad. RTBI``(Read the bloomin` instructions).
One comment which may/could save afew bob. We don`t all standardise on Deans plugs. I don`t but use the 4mm barrel type.This means that I have to cut off the Deans from the cables I use and fit the 4mm type. It` a shame to throw away the Deans as I hate wastage!!
Great charger and super service as usual from the Cod shop.

As many before me this charger arrived before the tracking code was available, 1 day shipping, great service! The charger itself is accurate and precise, with options for Ni-XX, LI-XX and Pb, and is able to do everything that many chargers do that are at least £60 or the HPI rip-off £99 charger!! This is the newer type of charger now which has a solid cooling port on the left, rather than a 2 piece unit. The fan is much louder and seems to shift less air, but this may mean that it is more efficient. The maximum wattage I can get is actually 63 watts, which is great!
Overall I am very happy with the purchase and will buy again from GC©

Just got my gt power a606 this morning, i have been useing the hobby zone charger for my
1.3 /1.6 lipos the 1.6 took nearley 4 hours to charge, tried one of the 1.3 3s this morning it took 14 mins,i cant think why i did not get one of these chargers before for a beginner the set up was
ok to understand tried to save the settings for the 1300/1600 lipos 3s in the memory ,should the settings come up when you are ready to charge or do you have to select them for the diffrent batterys any tips would be welcomed, had to buy a ec3 lead for the charger as they are deans leads at just over a £1.00 could not make one at that price,delivery and price excellent had next day delivery was on the door at 7.00 this morning great service Dave.

Just a post script to my previous review. I have now charged my LIPOs with the GT A606 and it dealt with my 6 cell 4000 mAH in short order. Neither the battery or charger got even warm. If I could give it six stars I would.

Just received the charger three days after placing the order. To a BFPO address. Very inpressed with the GC service. Very easy to set up. Great selection of charging leads supplied. You even get a glow plug charge lead. I've not used it for Lipos yet but it charged my flight box Pb battery in an hour and a Nimh 1400 Mah flight battery in 20 minutes. Niether battery got even warm and niether did the charger. So far a great product for not a lot of money.

Slightly disapointed, I got this to replace my b6 charger which although worked fine I noticed that at high amps charging a123 and lipo with the balance plug in it would actually unbalance cells whilst charging then have to rebalance them at end of charge taking 20 mins for a charge, but if I left balance plug out cells would stay in balance by themselves charge in 10 mins and I could then balance them after in 1 to 2 mins after a few cycles if I wanted to but after a full charge.
So I tried this charger and gues what? yep, it is exactly the same!
OK so not the end of the world, it still does what it is supposed to and voltages are spot on after balance charge and now I have 2 chargers so can do 2 batts at once but I really thought it would be able to monitor the voltages more acuratly during charging or be better if it did not try to balance cells at all until end of charge.
Then my charge times would be almost halved.

Ordered charger on Tuesday morning arrived Wednesday 1.00 pm, "service cant get better than that!" charger is packaged in own cardboard box, would have liked to have had it wrapped in bubble wrap, and in an other box for shipment, instead of the jiffy bag it came in. I have seen first hand how the postal system works sometimes, even if their is fragile stickers all over the package. But aside from that slight issue, I am delighted with the product, have not had time to test yet but seems to be working OK, will do another review after some test charges, but overall absolutely delighted with the product and fantastic service, and will be ordering a lot more goodies in the future.

This charger is probably the best value for money charger available in the UK, what you get for the price is simply incredible. I would recommend this charger to anyone who wants all the features of a good charger but without the rip off price that the UK is expected to pay.

The Charger is well made, and on start up looks the business, after a quick read of the book, the controls are very simple and easy to use. lots of settings to play with, but still keeping it nice and simple.
I would say this is a newbie friendy unit, and still having many useful functions for the pro!

I have only had this charger for a few days now, but it is clear that this charger is of excellent quality and is well designed and programed. There are a huge number of features letting you change the cell count to max Amp charge rate so that the charger does not over or under charge the batteries or charge them too quickly. For balanced charging for LiPo's anyway (as this is what i am charging, and have tested on this charger) there is a live Cell Voltage display showing 1-6 cell voltage when charge so you can see how charged the individual cells are. The charger also has a timer that starts when charging starts, this is for safety as you can set how long the charge goes on for. The charger stops the charge when the max Cell voltage has been reached, this is determined by the charger from the battery information you have given the charger (what batt u have plugged in to the charger)... this is very accurate and if you put the right information in the the charger about the batteries then the charger should not over charge your batteries.

Safe for you and your batteries

Bad points:
Have yet to find any.

Caricabatterie fantastico! Viene fornito con il cavo di alimentazione con la spina inglese ma basta tagliare la spina o comunque sostituire il cavo con uno di alimentazione da pc fisso (ha lo stesso attacco). Dalle foto non mi ero reso conto ma questo caricabatterie è davvero piccolo!! Ho caricato sia batterie Ni-Mh e ha staccato la carica automaticamente prima che si iniziassero a scaldare; inoltre ho provato la carica bilanciata di una batteria Li-Po a 3 celle e a fine carica il caricatore indicava 4.20 4.20 4.20, ho anche controllato con il tester ed effettivamente il voltaggio era quello. Sono veramente soddisfatto di questo caricabatterie e qui viene venduto ad un ottimo prezzo!

Got one of these to replace my JP Lipro Plus 5 cell charger as it had decided to stop balance charging. Excellent charger, balance charged 5 lipos tonight ready for flying tomorrow night and did it much quicker than my old charger. Great charger for the money and coupled with GC's usual next day delivery you can't ask for any more than that!

Ordered yesterday at 14.30 with standard 1st class delivery and it arrived today at 12:15!!! You don't get better than that!!!
I've used the charger for two batteries today. Seems great. Easy to use, good manual and plenty of leads.
I purchased my first RC Heli (ESky Honeybee V2 FP) about a week ago and have never given either of my 2 batteries a 'full' charge as the standard ESky charger just sits there with the green light still flashing even after 3 or 4 hours! I bought a cheap volt meter off eBay to check voltage and each time the battery would be at around 12.5V so it's as near as damn it. Don't know if my particular ESky charger is a but knackered or if they all do it?
The GT Power mananged a full charge in just over an hour in balance mode. You can also use 'normal' charge or fast charge (apparently rather than dropping to 1/10 of normal charge current at the end of the charge cycle, it drops to 1/5 in fast charge mode to reduce charge time although you won't get max capacity).
I like the fact that the balance ports are built in so no need to order this seperately. Same goes for the power supply. It comes with a UK plug so no need to purchase a PSU seperately.
Great value. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (although I'm new to this game so I could be talking out of my bottom!)

Arrived with the lipo battery i ordered in record time. Once again it was well packed and the instructions were very clear. Reading the other reviews there is not much else I can really say. But to stress it is an xcellent peice of equipment with many safety and excellent features. If you are thinking of buying a charger give serious consideration to this model as the dual power source is in a word brilliant

Works amazingly well, for £45 I was optimistic, was bought to be a spare, second charger, I have now put my 'main' charger back in it's box this has taken it's place. Lot's of functions, gives you each cell voltage, powered by either mains or 12v, very handy.

Ive only just started to play wth this "do it all" unit but it is working great and best of all it is near £20 quid cheaper than many similar units..
So far I have only used the lipo charge/balance and store functions...and its so good to have an easy "put to storage setting" I am always leaving my lipos fully charged and this does em no good in the long run.
I hope all the other functions work as well, but I will only post again if I find problems..
so excellent value....
