Bought this and a 8x3.8 of the same type and they're both out of balance. Had to sand a large chunk out of the back of the blade with the logo on it. Got it pretty much in balance now and works nicely

Ordered these Friday 15th and they arrived Saturday 16th Jan 2010, ordinary signed for delivery. Thanks guys. Obviously after reading Aluns comment below I immediately measured the length of each blade. I bought three of this prop and I am pleased to say that on all three the blades either side of the hub were both exactly the same length. They weren't in absolutely perfect balance, but they were so close that I am using them as they are. In a silly old model shop these would be £2.99 each! If Giantcod stops supplying, I'm giving up electric flight! Fantastic prop, loved it. Thankyou.

These props look pretty good value. I haven't tested them for efficiency yet but I was surprised at just how far out of balance they were. Upon investigation I discovered that the 9x3.8 props had one blade longer than the other. Shortening the longer blade helped to bring it into balance, but still, further fettling (wet and dry one side, paint on the other) was needed to bring them up to the APC standard. Having said that, the 8x3.8 props were much closer and had rather heavy lettering moulded onto the surface of the heavy blade. Removing this made the balance very nearly correct with just a little trimming required for perfection.

Just tried ths prop in an Ikarus Wizard Hydroplane. Motor was KD 2205-50T 8A 1088kv, the 9 x 3.8 is the recomended prop for the motor and worked beautifully. Well worth the price !!

Bought some more, just measured 7.4 amps on a blue wonder on 3s 500mAh with more thrust where a tp sf 8x3.8 apc clone gave 8amps using clamp meter, really efficient props.

These emax props are my favourites at the mo' as they are really efficient, as i fly mainly 3d off concrete i can live with completely replacing a 55p prop if it gets scraped on the odd occasion whereas i would tend to faff about with sandpaper on an apc sf. The balance on this range is really good and i have only had to scrape a scalpel blade on @ 10% of the 50 or so i guess i have bought up to 11x4.7. This one is really good on 30-40gm motors on 3s and is an unashamed copy of apc with flex between them and gws leaning towards apc. I have whacked them into concrete and they snap at the hub which certainly saves shafts as i don't use propsavers above 200gm shocky size. Brahma props.
